Cancer Growth may be Blocked Using Cells That Switch Off Cell Signaling

Protein SOCS1 switches off cell signaling to dampen immune responses and block cancer growth, according to a recent research at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. The study finds that SOCS1 protein binds to JAK proteins in order to switch off cell signaling.
