Lok Sabha passes the contentious National Medical Commission (NMC) Bill, 2019. This NMC Bill is called as one of the biggest reforms in medical education in India. The bill proposes to repeal the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, and set up an NMC replacing the Medical Council of India (MCI).
