Brain Cancer Cells may Be Killed With Genetically Modified Cells

Immune cells (T-cells) genetically engineered to target a gene involved in brain cancer (CSPG4) may control the growth of tumor cells in brain cancer. The engineered cells can eliminate glioblastoma cells displaying CSPG4, while the cancer continued to grow in the presence of regular T-cells.
