Nerve Cells Aid in Pancreatic Cancer Cell Growth

Starving pancreatic cancer cells secrete a protein called nerve growth factor, which sends signals to nerve cell extensions called axons, instructing them to grow deeply into tumors. This prevents the starvation of pancreatic cancer cells and restores their growth.
